Disposition: never forget it!

Disposition is a very important factor in astrology. It implies that when a planet is in a sign other than his own, the lord of the sign in question will be his dispositor. The dispositor of a planet which we can call planet A is like the lord of a house who rented it to a certain person living there, which is the planet B. Based on this we can put here some important points about disposition and his effects in prediction:

(a)  If a benefic planet is the dispositor of malefic planets, his good results will decline.

(b)  If a malefic planet is the dispositor of benefic planets, he will give growth and good results in the house it is positioned.

(c)  If two planets are disposing each other, it is a parivartana yoga and this kind of relationship can give full results for good or bad. The parivartana will depend on the houses involved. If a dusthāna (6th, 8th, 12th) is involved, there will be very bad results, other cases will give good results, and if 3th house is involved, mixed results will be there.

(d)  In daśā, if a certain planet is activated and if he is the dispositor of a certain planet, he will give the results of this planet, including his lordship. Like, if Jupiter is the dispositor of Venus, and Venus is the 7th and 12th lord, so Jupiter in his daśā will activate the results of Venus as 7th and 12th lord as well.

(e)   The nakṣatra occupied by a certain planet is very important. Like, if Sun is in revatī, which Mercury rules, Sun will give in his daśā the results of Mercury. Mercury also, in his daśā will give the results of Sun due to be his dispositor.

Here is an example of disposition to clarify this:

At december of 2012 a man called me to mark a consultation. In this day I took a praśna to see what kind of thing he was anxious to know about.

Here is the praśna:

(1)  See that Jupiter is in lagna as 8th lord showing his interest in understand something through astrology. The dispositor of Jupiter here will indicate what he wants to understand.

(2)  Venus (the dispositor of Jupiter) is in 7th at scorpio, so the question would be about a relationship. Venus is also the dispositor of Saturn and Rahu in 6th house, so it would had a separative influence on 7th house.

In the day of the consultation, I asked him, which was there with his girlfried if he was interested in know something about their relationship, which he affirmatively answered.

Now, look at his chart:

(1)  Here we see that he has Venus conjoined 9th and 12th lord Jupiter and 3th and 6th lord Mercury in 11th house, a bādhaka sthana for his lagna. Mars and Ketu is in 2th house (8th from 7th, the lagna of the praśna) and Venus is the dispositor of them. Other important point is that Rāhu is in his 8th house, so based on this points we can conclude that his relationships in general does not show good longevity. The fact of Venus being in 11th with many benefic planets as lord of bad houses as well, will give to him many relationships through his life.

(2)  When he came to me, he was living Moon-Venus viṁśottarī daśā. Here we see Moon in 5th house of passions in a mutual aspect with Venus in 7th from him. But as we saw above, Venus is the dispositor of two malefics, so it will not give good results.

(3)  Through transits we see Saturn and Rāhu in his 7th house, which is very bad for his relationship.

(4)  This man not only was anxious to know about his relationship, but also of a business partnership which he was interested to start. So, two things without chance to prosper. He was also living the pratyantardaśā of Rāhu at that time, and Rāhu in 8th  only enhance that the moment is not favoring any kind of partnership. All this was motivated just by delusions that he was creating.

So, based on the above points my answer to him was that the moment was not favourable for a business partnership and that his love relationship also would not be much stable in the following months, but I didn’t said that it will end, although I knew this. His girlfriend also gave me her chart to study, and in that I saw the same indications of a relationship without a future, so later I prevented her through an email in a gentle manner about some months ahead which would be specially dangerous for their relationship.

As suspected, just some months after the consultation they finished the relationship, and the business partnership that this man was interested in start proved to be just a castle in the air. But, well... this is life! Sometimes we gain, sometimes we lose, but do not matter what occurs, we have to accept everything as an important lesson for our own growth, always! God knows what He does, and we astrologers just try to understand it with our very limited knowledge.
